This policy explains what PTAH LLC (“PTAH”, “we”) does with information when you visit ptahworks.com and when you use the Viklia app.
The website
What we collect. We don’t ask you for anything on this site. There are no accounts, forms, cookies or trackers.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., processes the technical data needed to serve the site and protect it from abuse — IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps — in server logs kept for a limited time. We don’t combine this data with anything else and don’t use it to identify you.
If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to reply and handle your request.
The Viklia app
Viklia is in development. This section describes how the app will handle data at launch; if anything changes, we will update this policy before release.
What the app collects. Only what the diary needs to work:
- the email address you sign up with;
- meal photos you choose to log;
- the nutrition entries derived from them — dishes, ingredients, weights and nutritional values, including your corrections;
- your hunger and satiety ratings and the notes you attach to meals;
- basic profile settings you enter in the app.
Data about food and how you feel is sensitive. We treat everything in your diary as private by default: it is visible only to you, and we never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never share it except as described below.
Why. To run your diary: recognize meals on photos, calculate nutrition, show your history and patterns, and keep your data available across your devices.
Where it is stored. On our servers, encrypted in transit; diary content is also encrypted at rest. Access is limited to what is technically necessary to operate the service.
Third parties. Two kinds of processors are involved, and only for their narrow tasks:
- an AI provider that performs photo recognition — a photo you log is sent to it for the sole purpose of recognizing the dish [TODO: name the provider before release];
- Apple, which handles subscriptions and payments under its own terms — we never see your payment details.
How long. For as long as you keep your account. If you delete your account, your diary — photos, entries, ratings, notes — is deleted with it, except for records we must keep by law (for example, payment records).
Deleting your data. Email support@ptahworks.com from the address linked to your account. Account deletion will also be available inside the app.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing, or ask for a copy of your data. Email hello@ptahworks.com — we answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update it here with a new date. For material changes affecting the app, we will also notify you in the app or by email.
